Green Day is an American rock trio formed in 1987.[1]
For the majority of its existence, the band has consisted of:
- Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar),
- Mike Dirnt (bass guitar, vocals),
- Tré Cool (drums, percussion).
Tré Cool had taken over from previous drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1990.
Green Day made their Rock Band debut when six of their songs from their 21st Century Breakdown were released as Downloadable Content for Rock Band 2 in 2009. They have subsequently been rewarded with their own band-specific game, Green Day: Rock Band in 2010, which features three full albums (Dookie (with the exception of hidden track All By Myself), American Idiot, and 21st Century Breakdown (with 12 songs on disc, plus 6 available as pre-existing DLC)) plus a total of 7 songs from Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning.
In 2012 Green Day has a new song called Oh Love for DLC.
